Merine is a small town in the province of Lecce, in Puglia, southern Italy, set in the Salento countryside just outside the city of Lecce. It is a quiet, largely residential place, with a mix of older stone houses and newer homes, close to the shops, schools and services of nearby Lecce. Buyers and renters are drawn here for a relaxed base within reach of both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts.
