Chieti Scalo is the lower, modern part of Chieti in Abruzzo, southern Italy, spread across a flat valley floor below the historic hilltop town. It grew around the railway station and is now the city's commercial and transport hub, with the university and hospital nearby and a grid of newer residential streets. Property here tends toward modern apartments and houses with easier parking and road access, while the older centre of Chieti sits a short climb above.
