Vercelli

Vercelli is a city in the Piedmont plain of north-west Italy, set between Turin and Milan among the wide rice fields that surround it along the Sesia river. It is known for its compact medieval historic centre and its Romanesque basilica of Sant'Andrea, as well as for its long association with rice growing.
