Santa Maria Capua Vetere

Santa Maria Capua Vetere is a city in the province of Caserta, in the Campania region of southern Italy, set on the flat plain north of Naples and Caserta. It stands on the site of ancient Capua and is best known for its Roman amphitheatre and archaeological remains, giving the centre a historic core around which modern residential districts have grown. Housing here ranges from apartments in the lively town centre to homes in quieter outskirts, within reach of Caserta and the Naples area.
