Novara

Novara lies in the eastern plains of Piedmont, roughly between Turin and Milan, a compact city whose centre is built around porticoed streets, a cathedral and the great Antonelli dome of San Gaudenzio. It is known as a commercial and agricultural hub for the surrounding rice-growing plain, with rail connections that make it practical for work elsewhere.
